KARACHI – Renowned actor, writer, and poet Athar Shah Khan on Sunday passed away in Karachi.
Khan had been unwell for a while now and his death occurred after suffering from a severe stroke, reported media. He is survived by his wife and four sons.
The senior actor, Known popularly for his role as Jedi, entertained the small screen audience for decades. He played the famous character of Jedi on PTV and NTM which rose him to among both youngers and elders.
He began his career at Radio Pakistan as a writer following which he wrote 700 plays over the course of 20 years.

Some of his most popular works from the 1970s to 1990s include Intezar Farmaiay, Ba Adab Ba Mulahiza Hoshiyar, Lakhon Mein Teen, and Haye Jaldi.
