ISLAMABAD – The federal government has announced another massive surge of Rs30 per litre in the prices of petrol and diesel.
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail made the announcement while addressing a press conference on Thursday night.
The new prices of per litre petrol and diesel will be Rs209.86 and Rs204.15, respectively, highest prices in the history of Pakistan.
The minister said in next few days we will receive money from China that will lessen the pressure on rupee and resultantly it will gain value against Dollar.
He said as per instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, sugar will be provided to masses at subsidized rate of Rs70 per kilogram and flour on Rs40 per kilogram throughout the year.
The Minister said due to PTI government’s agreement with IMF, increase in the prices of Petroleum products was binding on us.
